Another day, another bizarre Trump gaffe.

Following his attendance at the recent NATO summit, Donald Trump – while speaking about ongoing tensions with Iran – appeared to get his countries mixed up, saying missiles had been fired at a US air carrier by "the Islamic Republic of Japan."

In the Daily Show clip above, host Ronny Chieng shares his thoughts.

"Oh my God. We're losing the war with Iran so bad it converted Japan to Islam," jokes Chieng. "And I know it sounds stupid when Trump says it, but if someone told you the Islamic Republic of Japan was a new fusion restaurant in Bushwick, you f***ing hipsters would be lining up for it."
