At VidCon 2026, Blogilates founder Cassey Ho joined VidCon's Hall of Fame alongside fellow creators Markiplier, Michelle Phan, and Philip DeFranco.
Ho began her content creation journey on YouTube in 2009, posting instructional workout videos people could follow at home. On top of being a pioneering fitness influencer, she went on to launch two clothing collections: Bodypop and Popflex. (Taylor Swift wore a Popflex skort in a short video set to her song "Fortnite." The skort sold out in 15 minutes.)
While Ho started off with longer-form horizontal workout videos, she's pivoted more towards posting short-form vertical content about her design process. That evolution is key to her longevity online, she says.
"I've been doing this for 17 years now, and luckily I haven't burned out," Ho told Mashable digital culture editor Crystal Bell. "I have a lot of personal friends who have, and the reason why is because I allowed myself to evolve as a human, and that meant also evolving my content. I think people who are too afraid to do that get stuck doing something they don't like anymore. So it's important to continue evolving."
Evolution is just one of the lessons Ho would impart to aspiring content creators. The other?
"Make something of value, right? Share something that's entertaining, educational, funny, but at the same time, make sure that it means something to you as well, because you cannot live for other people. You need to live for yourself first," Ho told Bell.
